The OASE BIOsys IP-200 pond skimmer (in pond) has a unique design that allows the skimmer to be located in the pond and makes it an excellent choice for retro-fitting an existing pond. The skimmer base is anchored by small stones, while the skimmer itself naturally adjusts to varying water levels up to 5 inches. Keeps pumps from clogging by pulling water and debris from the surface before they settle.

The OSASE BIOsys OP-300 pond skimmer (out of pond) skims floating debris from the surface of the pond. Pond water enters the skimmer unit via a 7 in. wide weir and is then filtered through a filter basket. The BIOsys Skimmer draws debris from the surface of your pond where it can easily be removed. A unique flap behind skimmer opening draws water only from the extreme surface, speeding up surface movement and reducing possibility of fish entering the unit.

Cloudy, dirty water and strong algae growth are common problems in ponds. These problems are caused by floating particles due to an excessive supply of nutrients, dead plants, over-fertilized soil, acid rain, fish excrement and left-over food. These particles produce ammonia which is harmful to all living beings. OASE's unique Biotec Filter System transforms ammonia into nitrite using a natural process. The nitrite is then changed into harmless nitrate. Nitrate actually constitutes a healthy nutrient conducive to plant growth. The mechanical filtration process is carried out by various structured foam filters, the biological process through naturally occurring bacteria that settle on bio-elements.

Another unique feature of the Biotec Filter System is the easy handling and cleaning. An indicator automatically shows the degree of pollution and when the filtered biomass must be removed. The filter is cleaned by simply removing the inner dirt tank, rinsing it with clear water, and reinserting it again. The temperature indicator and the Biotec Plus Zone, used for receiving efficient additives, are additional unparalleled characteristics of this unique filter system.

These filters are great for existing concrete or liner ponds as well as any new pond. They have a convenient cleaning mechanism that enables the pond owner to clean the filter by using a manual handle that cleans the filter pads and backwashes the dirty water out of the system.

The FiltoClear is pressurised and do not rely on gravity to feed the water back to the pond. They can therefore be situated in the garden below the pond level or in a shed, greenhouse or garage.

A flow indicator on the filters tells you when the filter needs cleaning. They do not have to be taken to pieces to clean. There is a second outlet on the top of the filter for back flushing.
